Farmore Limited: Growing a Greener Tomorrow in Tororo
Discover how Ugandan farmers can turn poultry and goat farming into profitable enterprises by mastering the entire value chain from production and processing to marketing and financial management. Learn how Farmore Uganda empowers farmers to think beyond the farm and build sustainable agribusinesses.
Agriculture in Uganda is more than growing food; it is the backbone of livelihoods. Yet, many farmers stop at production and miss out on the real profits that lie beyond the farm gate. At Farmore Uganda, we believe farming success comes from mastering the entire value chain, covering production, processing, marketing, and financial management.
Every strong value chain begins with quality production. This means selecting the right breeds, maintaining proper housing, feeding, and health care. For poultry and goats, simple practices such as balanced nutrition, regular vaccination, and record-keeping can boost productivity and income significantly.
Processing adds worth to every product. Instead of selling live birds or raw milk, farmers can process meat, package eggs, or produce goat cheese. Value addition not only increases profits but also extends shelf life and opens up new markets.
A great product needs visibility. Through digital marketing, branding, and cooperative marketing models, farmers can reach bigger markets, from local butcheries to urban supermarkets. At Farmore Uganda, we train farmers to understand consumer needs and promote their products effectively.
Profits must be managed wisely. Understanding basic accounting, budgeting, and saving helps farmers reinvest and grow their agribusiness. Access to credit and partnerships with financial institutions are also key steps toward scaling up.
Our programs go beyond traditional farming lessons. We equip farmers with the skills to operate like entrepreneurs, producing, processing, and selling confidently within a structured value chain. The result is increased incomes, stronger communities, and a more resilient agricultural sector.
When farmers think beyond production and embrace the entire value chain, agriculture becomes more than a livelihood; it becomes a thriving business.
